Task Cards (Wild 007)

by Catalepsia

We kick off 2012 with a new release by Catalepsia, after his acclaimed last release "Les Seigneurs"

According to Jérome, the man behind Catalepsia, the idea was to do a noise / punk track with an electro twist. It all started from a Sonic Youth edit that went bad and Task Card was born.
Built around a dissonant guitar riff, and weird vocals samples, this is Catalepsia most atmospheric track so far, some kind of horror film, cinematic techno.

On remix duties we find Matt Walsh (Turbo Recordings) and Steve Cook aka Clouded Vision. You will most probably know Matt from his residency at London's prestigious Bugged Out parties as well as numerous releases on labels such as Turbo, XL, Kitsune or Wax:On.

We have been very fond of his music and impeccable taste as a DJ (and clothes), and we're very proud to have him on this release.
Clouded Vision remix boasts all the trademarks of their sound that we grew to love: slow, grinding acid house, oscillating between new wave and electro. The guitar has gone, replaced by mean old school drum machines hammering along over a bed of analog synths and bass.
